Churches Together in Eastcote (CTE) was inaugurated in June 1993, following twenty-five years of informal ecumenical co-operation among the local churches. The purpose of CTE is to be the instrument of liaison, communication and development between the participating churches. It seeks to encourage links of friendship, understanding and Christian love between individuals and congregations.
The activities of CTE are varied and reflect our commitment to joint worship and to community mission and service:
The activities of CTE are varied and reflect our commitment to joint worship and to community mission and service:
- We organise joint services and our Christmas Carol Service is a highlight of the year.
- We also take part in local events such as Remembrance Sunday and the Eastcote Christmas Festival.
- We actively support local need and the Hillingdon Foodbank.
- During Lent we organise groups and courses which bring together members of our different churches to share and deepen their spirituality.
- We maintain links with other local ecumenical groups such as Pinner Association of Churches.
